Money Exchange

Do you need to bring money in or out of Venezuela, and do you want the best exchange rate and most secure transaction?  We have a legal and efficient solution for:

  • Tourists vacationing on Margarita Island who want to legally have more money to spend by getting a better exchange rate.
  • Anyone who needs to exchange foreign currency for Bolivares on an ongoing basis.  This is ideal for individuals who are relocating to Venezuela and need to purchase property or vehicles and later will need to exchange money at regular intervals.
  • Anyone who needs to get money out of Venezuela can do so quickly, legally and efficiently.

Since 2003 Venezuela has had currency exchange controls in place that create problems for individuals who wish to exchange their foreign currency for Bolivares.  Anyone who wishes to exchange foreign money (Dollars) for Venezuelan Bolivares (VEB) has only two choices to legally exchange their money:

  • Exchange the money through the Central Bank of Venezuela.  The rate of exchange will be the official exchange rate of 2.15 Bolivares per Dollar.
  • Wire transfer the money through a Licensed Brokerage House (Casa de Bolsa).  The rate of exchange will be the parallel market rate
  • Exchanges of Cash are against the law, we do not exchange cash.
