Health And Wellness
The single greatest variable expense in retirement is health care costs. The single greatest variable in quality of life is your overall health and wellness. Your health is precious: take care of your health and it will take care of you.
Do not focus on disease and sickness. Focus instead on health and wellness. Eat to live... don't live to eat. Get slim and stay trim, and you'll find that staying that way is easy- if you know how. Your Goal should be exercise that builds lean muscle mass. Aerobic exercise doesn't really build muscle, but muscle mass is the driving force behind a rapid metabolism. Muscle burns calories around the clock just to maintain itself, at work, at rest, even while eating. On average, a pound of muscle will burn about 60 calories a day- regardless of what you do or don't do. If your eating habits don't change, adding 6 pounds of muscle will burn over 350 calories a day: about a pound of fat every 10 days. That's the same as going for a 1/2 hour run every single day without fail, but without doing anything. This isn't as perfect as it sounds, though. You still have to do the exercise that builds- and keeps -the muscle.
